End ICE Detention: Statewide Weekend of Action

Indiana Statewide Weekend of Public Witness

This statewide, coordinated campaign is being organized by our friends at the Indiana Organizing Project. Join at one of many locations in Indiana the weekend of August 28-30 in a coordinated protest of ICE Detention at the Miami Correctional Facility. Please mark your calendar now and plan to stand in solidarity with our immigrant neighbors and friends. Each location's event varies. Some groups will be doing Prayer Vigils, others are holding eductational events, and yet others are hosting rallies or street-side sign-waving.

Quick facts about ICE detention @ Miami Correctional

• ICE detainees at Miami Correctional report food and water that makes them, rampant medical neglect, and abusive behavior from prison guards

• Two ICE detainees have died at Miami Correctional Facility in 2026.

• Due to Illegal Detention, ICE Detainees have been forced to file tens of thousands of Habeas Corpus petitions across the country

• Across the country, over 70% of ICE detainees have never been convicted of a crime.
