ONE MILLION RISING
One Million Rising is the name the national Indivisible organization gives to its program to recruit new "members" to resist authoritarianism by building a base of mass non-cooperation.
Locally, Indivisible Central Indiana has maintained the name for our program to merge our
relationships across Marion County and the seven surrounding counties.
In August, we hosted small public gatherings around Indy – in libraries, park shelters, churches, and art galleries – to which we invited ICI newsletter subscribers in specific areas.
You Can Help
More recently, we have been following up with the 200 people who expressed interest in
becoming more active. To be effective, we must ignite the One Million Rising movement. YOU
CAN HELP by creating local groups to help people host house parties, recruiting friends via
email and social media, or even using the tools the pros use to knock on doors. THEN, after we build our numbers, we mobilize our members in non-cooperation against authoritarianism!
We have working groups in Noblesville, Fishers, Brownsburg, Boone and Hancock Counties, as well as in Washington, Lawrence, Center, and Perry Townships in Indianapolis. Wayne Township (Indy Westside), Fishers, and Noblesville now have their own independent local
Indivisible Chapters https://groups.indivisible.org/.
We need your help! Are you active in any of the following areas and willing to help us organize a meeting in your area during the early months of 2026?
~ (Cities): Westfield, Carmel, Avon, Plainfield, Greenwood, Franklin
~ (Twps): Pike, Warren, Decatur, Franklin Townships in Marion County
~(Counties): Shelby County, Mooresville/Morgan County, western Hendricks County, southern Johnson County southern or northern Hancock County
If so, please get in touch with us at info@indivisiblecentralindiana.org. We will connect you with others and with the resources to make a meeting happen in early 2026. We promise you'll establish friendships that will renew your energy and commitment to fighting fascism!
And, if you live in one of the communities where we had pilot projects and working groups this fall, but missed them … well, we would love your help in organizing second and third
sessions. You won't be working alone! Don't hesitate to get in touch with us at the same email
address.
